A am loving these Target Beauty Boxes! I actually like them better than the Birchboxes (shhhh!)
I cancelled my Birchbox subscription when my annual subscription ran out in May. I was afraid I’d go into beauty sample withdrawal, but around that time I discovered the Target Beauty Box. It’s not a subscription box. Which is good and bad.
Good because they tell you what will be in the upcoming box and you choose weather to order it or not.
Bad because it’s usually cool stuff and you’re going to want to order it… and so will everyone else! So you have to pounce as soon as it becomes available.
I signed up for alerts from My Subscription Addiction. They send email alerts when the box goes on sale. They also do reviews on tons of other subscription boxes, so if you’ve got a subscription addiction they’re a great one to follow. (Or a really bad influence…. Depending on how you look at it.)
One of the things that I really like about the Target boxes vs. Birchbox is that the Target Box gives you more full sized products. This month I got a full sized lipstick, mascara and Chapstick. The sample sizes are pretty generous as well.
I also like that all the products in the sample box are available at Target. They also include a coupon (generally $3.00) off your next beauty purchase.
The price of the Beauty Box varies from month to month. It tends to be $7-$9.00 and you can use your Target RedCard to save 5% and get free shipping. I keep the Target app on my phone so that I can order my box as soon as I receive the notification from My Subscription Addiction that it’s available.
This month I am really loving Rimmel’s The Only 1 lipstick. Naughty Nude is a really great color and it goes on so silky smooth… It even smells nice.
I haven’t gotten to try the mascara yet. I’m trying to go through all my ten million other sample sized mascaras first.
I’m never going to fit all my makeup in the RV! I ordered a makeup organizer after I saw one at a friends house. Her’s had several drawers and holders *drool* but I ordered a smaller one hoping I could fit it in the RV. I’m thinking I can use Command strips to hold it in place. Maybe? Amazon says it should arrive tomorrow, so I’ll report back when I get it set up!
